titleWhen can I get my ID and where do I get my ID?

 You can get your Yale ID when you arrive on campus. To get your ID go to the Yale ID center which is located at 57 Lock Street, 1st Floor (behind the Yale Health building). You will need your Yale NetID and a government issued photo ID.

From the Sterling Law Building go out through the Grove Street door and make a left on to Grove Street. Take a right on Ashmun Street and right on Lock Street.   The ID Center is located between the Yale Police Department and Yale Health.

Your Yale ID card allows you access to all Law School buildings. Wave your ID card by the card reader located near the building doorway, this will unlock the door and allow entry.

Yes, you are welcome to look at the room you will be teaching in. Please work with Building Services, 203 432 4980 for access to classrooms prior to the start of the term. Most classrooms are locked when classes are not in session. If you would like to learn about he audio-visual equipment in the room you are teaching in, email av.law@yale.edu to request a meeting.

Your Canvas course site will be accessible as soon as your NetID and other accounts are setup. Once you have activated your NetID, go to http://canvas.yale.edu to access your course site. How do I get reimbursed?

Your assistant can submit your allowable meal expenses for reimbursement. Note: all reimbursements much be submitted within 120 days of the date of the expense. Expenses submitted after 120 days will be considered taxable income.

titleI will be using PowerPoint. Can I get AV support? Who sets that up? Do I have to make an appointment or schedule ahead of time?

All classrooms at YLS have built-in audio-visual equipment. The equipment can be turned on and off using the touch-screen panel in the room. Instructions on using the systems are available in each room next to the touch-screen. The AV team is happy to meet with you in the classroom you are teaching in and review the equipment. Please email av.law@yale.edu if you are interested in setting up an appointment.

 In addition, AV staff will meet you before your class and assist you in the use of the classroom technology.

To request AV support for your class, you can:

  1. Email av.law@yale.edu, with the date, time, classroom, and service needed.

  2. Use the online AV scheduling system by going to https://av.law.yale.edu.

  3. Ask your assistant to request AV support.
