OBTAINING YOUR YALE ID

You Your ID card provides access to the Law School buildings, the libraries at Yale, as well as functions and events around campus.

Yale ID cards are issued by the Yale ID Center https://idcenter.yale.edu/ . To obtain your ID you will need to go to Yale’s ID Center to have a picture taken for your ID card. The ID Center is located on the first floor of 57 Lock Street (behind Yale Health) (between Grove and Wall Streets) (Tel. (203) 432-0165). Your ID card will gain you access to all of the libraries at Yale, as well as to functions and events around campus. For further information, the ID Center’s Website is ID Center .the Yale ID center, on or after your appointment start date. To issue an ID the center requires you to provide them your Yale NetID and to show them a valid picture ID:

  • Passport (USA or International)

  • Driver’s License (USA only)

  • State Issued (Non-driver) ID

  • US Military ID

  • INS ID (Green Card)

The ID center is located at 57 Lock Street, New Haven, CT, about a five minute walk from the Law School.

You can walk-in during business hours, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, or you can book an appointment via their online scheduling system. Appointment booking is available via https://outlook.office365.com/owa/calendar/YaleUniversityIDCenter@yale.edu/bookings/
