Spring 2025 Course Selection and Bidding

Spring course selection and bidding is now open on YLS:Courses will continue until Thursday, October 31 at 4:30 p.m.

Course Selection and Bidding Resources

Concentrate your bidding on courses that truly interest you. There is no advantage to bidding early and no disadvantage to submitting your preferences at the end of the early course selection period. No changes to submitted bid selections will be accepted after 4:30 p.m. on October 31. More information about course selection is available on the Registrar's Office Course Registration page. We welcome you to drop in with any questions (SLB 102) between 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Curriculum Updates: Change Log

New courses, canceled courses, and significant changes such as meeting times are posted to the Change Log on  YLS:Courses. I anticipate adding at least one or two new courses to the Spring offerings. As soon as I have the full course information, I will post it; if that information is not available until after the close of the bidding period, I will provide information on how to apply to or add the course.

Spring Course Registration Timing

  • We anticipate releasing full bidding results through YLS:Courses the week of Thanksgiving.

  • Reading group proposals are due December 6.

  • You will have until December 11 to confirm your commitment to experiential courses and clinics, including a confirmation that you understand the stated policy on dropping given courses, or to decline a place in a clinic or course with a stated late drop policy.

  • All courses in which you are accepted will be moved to the Hub and Canvas after December 11.

  • Spring 2025 forms will be processed after January 3.

  • During the add/drop period, January 13-21, you may add open enrollment courses with seats available and drop courses without late drop policies.

  • Supervised Research, courses outside the law school, and reading groups may also be added during add/drop.

Finally, a reminder that no classes will be held on Election Day, November 5. Classes will meet after the Thanksgiving break on Monday, December 2; Friday classes will be held on Tuesday, December 3
