Using the YLS Online AV Request Form

Log into the system https://av.law.yale.edu

Note for Faculty Assistants: Please do not pick your instructor when submitting AV requests. Faculty assistants should submit an AV request by clicking “Submit AV Request” from their picture on the assistant homepage. Submitting AV requests as the faculty assistant will ensure the calendar, email notifications, or any questions are sent to you.

 

Please understand that we do our best to support all AV requests. Competing requests are handled in the order in which they are received.

Select Event type

  • Select Course for support for a Law School class.

  • Select Conferences & Events for support for an event or conference at the Law School.

  • Select Loaner Services to request to borrow equipment.

Please note when putting in a request for a class,

AV request for a Course

  1. Select the Course title from the drop-down menu.

  2. Select the Professor from the drop-down menu.

  3. Click the Next button.

  4. Click the Pick room(s) and services button.

    1. Click under Room for the drop-down menu

    2. Select Room

    3. Click Services and select one or more services from the drop-down.

    4. Add additional information or comments into the Optional Services box.

    5. Click the Add Room button.

    6. A summary will appear containing your requested Room and Services.

    7. Click the Done button.

    8. Click the Next button.

  5. Select Time and Date(s) (Note: You can set up AV services for a single class or the entire semester by filling in the start date and time, end date and time, and days the class meets.)

    1. Select Delegate if you are submitting the request on someone else's behalf and managing the event.

    2. Click Submit when done.

    3. A submissions page will appear. Review for accuracy.

    4. Scroll to the bottom of the page to Submit or Make Changes.

    5. Your request will go into the queue for approval. You will receive an email confirmation within three business days.

AV request for Conferences & Events

  1. Enter the name of your Event or Conference, including the sponsoring organization, if applicable.

  2. Click the Next button.

  3. Click Rooms and Equipment

  4. Click the Pick room(s) and services button.

    1. Click under Room for the drop-down menu

    2. Select Room

    3. Click Services and select one or more services from the drop-down.

    4. Add additional information or comments into the Optional Services box.

    5. Click the Add Request button.

    6. A summary will appear containing your requested Room and Services.

    7. Click the Done button.

    8. Click Next button.

  5. Select Time and Date(s)

    1. Select Delegate if you are submitting the request on behalf of someone else and are managing the event.

    2. Click Submit when done.

    3. A submissions page will appear. Review for accuracy.

    4. Scroll to the bottom of the page to Submit or Make Changes.

    5. Your request will go into the queue for approval. You will receive an email confirmation within 3 business days, or we will contact you for more information.

View Your Requests/Approvals

  1. Once logged into the system, from the left navigation, select My AV Calendar.

  2. You will be presented with a calendar view of all your current requests.

  3. Approved requests are shown in blue and pending requests are in gray.
