Canvas Course Sites

Yale University uses the Learning Management System, Canvas. The classes you are teaching this semester will appear on your Canvas dashboard. At a minimum, you should post a syllabus to your Canvas course site. Your assistant is familiar with Canvas and can setup your course site (s) for you. If you prefer to setup your site (s) on your own or want to know more about Canvas, support is available online at https://law.yale.edu/canvas-help and the Poorvu Center website , or, we offer one-on-one training. To schedule a training session please email law.canvas@yale.edu.

As you explore your Canvas course site, you can find a set of tools specifically designed for the Law School including: SeatGen (seating chart application), Office Hours, and YLS Tools (email and photo rosters). For assistance using any of these tools please contact law.canvas@yale.edu.
